Amount
The scholarship amount for coursework, workshop or seminar per semester from Fall 2025 through Summer 2026 is $650 per staff member.
Two new scholarships are now available for new teachers in our affiliating schools. One provides $250 for a first-time teacher to help pay for classroom materials. The second provides up to $1,500 for qualified new college graduates to assist in setting up a household during their first year of teaching at an affiliating school.
Qualified Colleges/Graduate Schools
The 2025-26 qualified colleges/graduate schools are: Ambassador Baptist College, Appalachian Bible College, Bob Jones University, Faith Baptist Bible College, Maranatha Baptist University, and Pensacola Christian College. Abeka and BJU Press are also eligible providers of professional development conferences or seminars.
Employment
The applicant must be employed, full-time or at least a half-time teaching load, by a KCEA-affiliating school when enrolled in the course.
Certification
The applicant must be certified through the KCEA Staff Certification Program when enrolled in the course.
Income Requirement
The household (federal definition) Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) on 2024 federal tax returns must not exceed the following dollar amounts for the number of people in the household. If more than one tax return, the amounts of the AGIs are aggregated.
