Standardized Testing Materials, Seminars, Data Analysis Tools
Via agreement with Riverside Insights (Iowa Achievement and CogAT Aptitude Tests), affiliating schools can utilize these highly professional tests with all of the national and non-public school norms and all of the professional tools embedded in Riverside's DataManager. This agreement provides access to a full-featured program with favorable pricing.
Staff Certification
In contrast to state Certification, KCEA certification is not a license to practice one's profession, but both are shaped by a worldview. In Christian schools, it is not abnormal for parents to ask about the credentials of one who claims to be a professional educator. While KCEA Staff Certification is clearly not a license, KCEA aids the school and its staff by verifying four crucially important areas:
- Academic preparation
- Spiritual development
- Job performance
- Continuing education
Staff Scholarship for College/Grad School
The Staff Scholarship puts feet to KCEA’s conviction that continuing development for Christian educators is important. The Staff Scholarship covers the majority of the tuition for a three credit course at several grad schools and is available multiple times per person per year. Qualifications are:
- Taking a qualified job-related college/grad school course at a partnering institution
- Employed by an affiliating school
- Within the income-cap requirement
- Certified under the KCEA Staff Certification Program for continuing education
School Improvement
For five decades, KCEA has challenged schools to actively pursue ways to improve the quality of their programs. KCEA’s efforts have been multi-faceted, including through seminars, conferences, consultations, publications, and even on-site visits as requested. Outside the realm of these less formal tools for improvement, KCEA recommends two third-party accrediting agencies for formal recognition.
Speakers Bureau
From Sunday pulpit ministries to graduations and PTFs, KCEA’s staff is prepared with a wealth of background.
On-Site and Off-Site Consultation
The KCEA professional staff have come to be known to provide accurate, up-to-date information. Staff utilizes the expertise of qualified attorneys in legal and legislative matters. They have expertise and experience in education, education administration, program leadership, and ecclesiastical matters. With consultant services like these, church and school leaders can tap knowledgeable resources and devote more of their attention to their ministries rather than researching on education, law, common practices, etc.
